A lot has changed concerning fashion in the office since our mothers worked, and that is probably a good thing. However, that does not give you license to wear whatever you want. You should always strive to look professional. Looking professional does not mean that you have to look boring and old .You can be age appropriate and still stylish while dressing for the office. However, more often then not, people dress completely inappropriate for work so here are some rules to follow.
Never ever show off your undergarments. There is a time and place to show off you lacy under things that this is only in your bedroom. Never wear pants that are low enough that you can see your thong when you bend over. When buying pants it is always a good idea to bend over to see if they pants provide adequate coverage. If they do not, then don’t by the pants. It is never really appropriate to wear a tank top to work. You should be wearing a blouse. But no matter what kind of top you are wearing, make sure that you can not see your bra straps. If you have to, wear a cardigan or a strapless bra.
You can wear clothes that are feminine but not sexy. There is a very wide line between feminine and sexy and when you are work you should never cross the line. Wearing clothes that are to tight will not only make you appear larger but it is also very inappropriate for work. If you are wearing a top that is to low cut you need to put a cami under the top. Before you leave the house, bend over in front of the mirror and see how much of you assests you are showing off. If you are showing to much, reconsider your outfit.
